As a dedicated nurse practitioner leader in the local area, we offer comprehensive mental health and wellbeing support to help individuals navigate their mental health journeys with confidence and care. Our services include thorough mental health assessments, diagnosis, and management of various mental health disorders, tailored to each individual’s unique needs
Key mental health and wellbeing services include:
• Diagnostic clarification, which involves detailed assessments to accurately identify mental health conditions, ensuring that the treatment plan is precise and effective. This process helps distinguish between different disorders or underlying issues, guiding targeted interventions.
• Mental health and wellbeing management encompasses ongoing support, medication management, and symptom monitoring to improve quality of life. We work closely with patients to develop personalised strategies, ensuring that mental health is maintained and optimised through coordinated care.
• Psychotherapy is a vital part of mental health treatment, focusing on talking therapies that foster understanding, coping skills, and behavioural change. We offer evidence based approaches using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) principles. These therapies help patients challenge negative thought patterns, develop healthier habits, and build psychological flexibility – empowering individuals to face life’s challenges more effectively.
• Lego Therapy is a fun and engaging social skills programme designed to help young patients with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) improve their communication, cooperation, and problem-solving abilities. Through structured Lego building activities children learn to work together take turns share ideas and build their confidence in a supportive and play based environment. (Ages: 6yo – 16yo)
• Metabolic monitoring for those prescribed psychotropic medications is also a critical aspect of our service. This involves regular assessments of physical health parameters – such as weight, blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol – to identify and manage potential side effects, ensuring medication safety and overall wellbeing.
• Healthy Relationships & Masculinity is based on mutual respect, effective communication, and emotional understanding, while promoting confidence, responsibility, and respect for oneself and others. We have specialised skills and knowledge in supporting young males as they navigate these concepts in today’s world, helping them to develop respectful relationships, build emotional resilience, and embrace healthy expressions of masculinity.
• The Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) is a national framework in Australia that collects data on the support provided to students with disabilities and additional learning needs in schools. Our services include expert guidance to help families understand and navigate the NCCD process, working closely with schools to ensure your child receives the appropriate supports and adjustments. We assist families in advocating for their child’s needs, helping to coordinate communication with educational teams, so your child can thrive academically and socially with the right support in place.
